Home

Welcome to the website of Power4KcC. We’re a community-owned energy cooperative, (registered as Kelsale-cum-Carlton Community Energy Ltd.), committed to growing the local area’s green energy supply and making the benefits open to all.

After last year’s Annual General Meeting had to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 restrictions, we are delighted to invite you to our 2021 AGM which is being held at 3pm on Saturday, 28 August next to the solar arrays in the garden of The Cottages, Bridge Street, Kelsale, IP17 2PB (if wet we will retire to the Village Hall). This will mark the 7th anniversary of our launch event which was held in the same location on 29 August 2014 – how many of us can you recognise in the photograph below?

If you are a shareholder you should already have received an invitation to the AGM and a proxy form to return if you can’t come. Please return this either by email or post to arrive by 5pm on Friday, 27 August. In a following email we will send you the minutes of our 2019 AGM and our accounts for the 2019-21 financial years which are currently being audited.

As well as all registered shareholders, we are inviting all our neighbours who have an interest in Power4KcC to come to our AGM. Power4KcC was created for and is managed in the best interests of our community, and over the last 7 years has generated a lot of green electricity for our Village Hall and Social Club. All are welcome to participate in our AGM although only shareholders will be entitled to vote.

We look forward to seeing you at our AGM.

Best wishes, Keith
Chair, Power4KcC

We won the Greenest County award!

Less than a year after starting up, Power4KcC won the Creating the Greenest County award in the Renewable Energy category. In a ceremony at Snape Maltings on 15 April 2015, Directors Keith Dickerson and Tim Roberts were presented with the award by Chris Packham, presenter of the BBC’s Springwatch programme. This is excellent news which recognises all the hard work we put in over more than 3 years. Thanks to all those who bought shares and helped make this happen.
